Best Events, Concerts, Festivals & Nightlife This Week: Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, NYC, Houston, LA & Seattle
Looking for the best events this week? Discover concerts, festivals, parties and nightlife happening September 28–October 4, 2026, in Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, New York City, Houston, Los Angeles and Seattle.
America Has Plans This Week — Apparently, All of Them
If your plan for September 28 through October 4, 2026, was to sit peacefully on the couch and finally finish that show you've been pretending to watch for three months, we have unfortunate news: America has other plans for you. From Karol G taking over Miami and Gorillaz landing at Madison Square Garden to Kacey Musgraves bouncing through Atlanta and Charlotte, RUSH rolling into Houston and Erykah Badu commanding the Hollywood Bowl, this week's entertainment calendar is behaving like somebody accidentally selected "add everything to cart."
Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, New York City, Houston, Los Angeles and Seattle are all bringing something different to the table, which means the biggest problem isn't finding something to do. It's figuring out how many questionable airline decisions you're willing to make before Sunday night.
Miami: Karol G, Kany García and a Weekend That Has Absolutely No Bedtime
Miami was never going to quietly welcome October with herbal tea and an early night. Karol G brings the VIAJANDO POR EL MUNDO TROPITOUR to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on both Friday, October 2, and Saturday, October 3, with the Friday show featuring Elena Rose.
If you're trying to construct an entire weekend around one massive concert, Miami has essentially completed the assignment for you. Saturday also brings Kany García's Puerta Abierta Tour to Kaseya Center at 8 p.m., while Sunday, October 4, has Don Omar's The Last King World Tour at Kaseya Center. In other words, Latin music fans may want to start hydrating now.
Miami After Dark: Because Going Home at Midnight Would Be Suspicious
The concert is merely Act One in Miami. Downtown's Club Space has Disco Dom and The Brothers Macklovitch on the Terrace Friday, October 2, followed Saturday by Âme DJ, Hardt Antoine and Maceo Plex. Club Space describes itself as a home for electronic-music marathons, which is a wonderfully elegant way of saying your Sunday brunch reservation might become breakfast.
Saturday also includes a Karol G official afterparty at LIV Nightclub Miami at 11 p.m. If your itinerary contains a stadium concert, an afterparty and sunrise, congratulations: you have successfully understood Miami.
Atlanta: One Week, Several Personalities
Atlanta's calendar looks like seven different group chats somehow agreed on the same week. Kacey Musgraves brings the Middle of Nowhere Tour to State Farm Arena on Wednesday, September 30, at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, October 1, gets wonderfully complicated: ScHoolboy Q plays The Tabernacle, Kany García takes over the Coca-Cola Roxy and Sylvan Esso performs at The Eastern, all at 8 p.m. Then Friday answers the question "How many generations can Atlanta entertain simultaneously?" with Indigo Girls and Linda Perry, TLC and Salt-N-Pepa with En Vogue, Gente de Zona and more scattered across the city.
Atlanta Culture Week: Apparently One Weekend Wasn't Enough
The larger story in Atlanta is Atlanta Culture Week, celebrating its 10th anniversary from September 28 through October 4. The seven-day program moves through fashionably different moods: Monday's black-tie Assembly, Tuesday's rooftop Finer Things gathering, Wednesday's interactive Canvas art experience, Thursday's She Smokes Too rooftop event, Friday's Welcome to Atlanta celebration, Saturday's wellness-focused Oasis and House of Music, and Sunday's Block Party. It's basically Atlanta saying, "Why choose between art, food, nightlife, music, wellness and dressing up when you could simply lose an entire week to all of them?" The organizers describe the week as a celebration of Atlanta's culture, creativity, entrepreneurship, entertainment and community.
Charlotte: The Queen City Has Entered Its Busy Era
Anyone still operating under the outdated assumption that Charlotte goes to sleep after dinner needs to inspect October 2 and 3. Kacey Musgraves arrives at Spectrum Center Friday, October 2, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Weezer brings The Gathering to Spectrum Center at 7 p.m., joined by The Shins and Silversun Pickups.
At 8 p.m. the same night, Dermot Kennedy brings The Weight of the Woods Tour to Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre. So yes, Charlotte has created the highly inconvenient scenario in which you may genuinely want to be in two venues at once. Science continues to disappoint us.
Charlotte's Saturday Is Slightly Ridiculous
Concerts aren't even the whole Charlotte story. Saturday, October 3, also marks opening weekend for the Carolina Renaissance Festival and includes K-FEST Korean Culture Festival, FabFest, Charlotte Kids Fest and other activities around the region.
Earlier in the week, the calendar includes Disney On Ice, Ryan Beatty, Mariachi El Bronx and Saxsquatch... which really is an artist's name and not something we invented after staring at the events calendar for too long. Charlotte's October kickoff is less "find something to do" and more "choose which five things you're willing to miss."
New York City: Of Course Tuesday Night Looks Like Somebody Else's Saturday
New York refuses to respect the concept of a slow weekday. Gorillaz bring The Mountain Tour to Madison Square Garden Tuesday, September 29, at 8 p.m., while elsewhere that evening the city has wave to earth at Radio City Music Hall, Tom Jones at Beacon Theatre and Dylan Gossett at The Rooftop at Pier 17.
Then Madison Square Garden keeps going, with Harry Styles and Jamie xx appearing during the week's MSG schedule. The fundamental problem with New York entertainment remains unchanged: there are too many things happening simultaneously, and teleportation continues to be scandalously unavailable to the general public.
Houston: Rock Legends, Electronic Music and a Free Festival Walk Into a Weekend
Houston slides into October with range. Thursday, October 1, brings RUSH and the Fifty Something Tour to Toyota Center at 7:30 p.m., while Tinlicker plays House of Blues at 7 p.m. The same evening, Houston's 47th Annual Festival Chicano returns to Miller Outdoor Theatre with a free performance by Marcos Orozco, giving the city everything from arena rock to electronic music to a cultural festival in a single night.
Friday continues with Scotty McCreery at 713 Music Hall alongside a broader collection of shows around town. Houston is apparently uninterested in specialization.
Los Angeles: Monday Night Is Already Showing Off
Los Angeles does not believe Monday is an excuse. September 28 alone brings RAYE to the Ray Charles Terrace at the GRAMMY Museum and Jack White to the Hollywood Palladium, alongside a deep collection of smaller shows around town. Then Tuesday, September 29, decides subtlety is overrated.
Erykah Badu performs at the Hollywood Bowl, Zara Larsson takes the Greek Theatre, Dominic Fike plays The Wiltern and Jack White returns for another night at the Palladium. LA has essentially scheduled enough competing concerts to turn deciding where to go into its own full-time occupation.
Seattle: Bring a Jacket and Prepare to Make Difficult Musical Decisions
Seattle begins the week aggressively. $uicideboy$ bring Grey Day Tour 2026 to Climate Pledge Arena Monday, September 28, at 6:30 p.m., with Shoreline Mafia and others on the bill. That same Monday includes Igorrr at Neptune Theatre, Kruder & Dorfmeister at Showbox SoDo, Show Me the Body at El Corazon and more.
Tuesday somehow gets busier: Killswitch Engage plays Neptune Theatre, Snarky Puppy lands at Paramount Theatre, She & Him performs at Moore Theatre and Channel Tres takes Showbox SoDo. Seattle's reputation as a serious music city remains extremely safe.
Before You Grab the Keys, Book the Flight or Text "You Up?" to the Group Chat
Event schedules, performers, venues, ticket availability and start times can change, so verify the latest information with the venue, organizer or authorized ticketing platform before making plans. This is especially important when traveling between cities because nothing builds character quite like discovering your concert changed times after you've already paid airport parking rates.
