I sat down with model Jaci Monroe to talk about her journey into modeling, surviving a life-changing accident, building confidence, creating art, growing her editorial portfolio, and the bigger dreams she hopes to achieve through her career.
Interview by host Samantha Ann of S.A.M Series

Miami Beach, FL - 10/7/2026 - Model Jaci Monroe is building her career with a story that goes far beyond striking a pose. Her journey combines creativity, resilience, faith, and a determination to keep moving forward... even after experiences that could have easily changed the direction of her life.
Jaci’s growing modeling résumé includes work and features connected with Studio 1, USA Models, Moevir, Vigour, Selin, UnTamed, Fashion Republic Magazine, Perspective, Bold And Beyond, Vanguard, Blush, Artells, and Chicle. But behind the growing list of credits is someone who still talks about modeling with the excitement of the girl who once practiced her walk and poses in her living room while watching America’s Next Top Model.
For Jaci, modeling is more than being photographed. It’s also being connected to art, self-expression, confidence, collaboration, family, and ultimately creating something bigger than herself.
Samantha Ann: Before Studio 1, the magazine features, and everything you’re building now, where did your love for modeling actually begin? Was there an early moment when you thought, “I could really do this”?
Jaci Monroe: I was a cheerleader growing up. I grew up watching Next Top Model. I used to practice in my living room. - later in life, a rd happened... fast forward, I was in a car accident, the only survivor out of 4. 12 years went by... I finally took a step. Building confidence. And went to Studio 1 in Dallas. Wonderful time..
Samantha Ann: Your path into modeling clearly carries a lot more history than simply deciding to step in front of a camera. After everything you experienced, what was it about modeling and creativity that finally made you take that chance on yourself?
Jaci Monroe: I love Art. I draw. I love photography. I love posing. I do have rods in my back now. So I'm a limited edition. 😉
Samantha Ann: With your portfolio continuing to grow, you’ve now experienced different shoots, teams, and creative environments. What part of modeling has become your favorite so far?
Jaci Monroe: photoshoots. And working with a team. :)
Samantha Ann: We usually only get to see the clean final image, but there’s a whole process before anybody steps onto a set or runway. What does Jaci Monroe’s preparation look like when you know a shoot or show is coming?
Jaci Monroe: Prep. Weekdays/nights, eat healthy, make sure I get enough rest. Prepare. Practice. Rehearse.
Samantha Ann: Modeling can look glamorous from the outside, but building an actual career brings plenty of real-world challenges with it. What has been the toughest part for you personally?
Jaci Monroe: I LOVE ORGANIZATION. But my ADHD makes that complicated at times. If that's what I have lol and my back at times. Money can be an issue too at times. Still trying to figure this out.
Samantha Ann: You’ve already worked toward building a diverse editorial résumé, but looking ahead, what kind of photographer, designer, brand, or creative team would make you say, “Yes — these are my people”?
Jaci Monroe: I want who wants me. Who really wants to help me and be partners. Someone or few or many kind people that work together well with support and kindness. With laughter. Love. And fun. But something that WILL show. 😉
Samantha Ann: There’s an interesting switch that happens when certain people get in front of a camera — suddenly everything just clicks. Where does that confidence come from for you when the photographer starts shooting?
Jaci Monroe: It just happens. I listen. And direct my steps as told.
Samantha Ann: Somewhere there’s another person practicing poses in their living room the same way you once did, wondering whether they actually have a place in this industry. What would Jaci today say to that person?
Jaci Monroe: Go for your dreams dear. Dream it. Believe it. Go get it. 😉
Samantha Ann: Your work has appeared across several different editorial spaces, but underneath all of those images there’s still your own identity. When someone sees a Jaci Monroe photograph, what do you want them to feel or understand about you?
Jaci Monroe: Captivating to help others feel comfortable in their own bodies.
Samantha Ann: You’ve already started building the portfolio. Now let’s dream much bigger. When you imagine where this career could ultimately take you, what are you hoping to build — not only as a model, but for your family and the people you want to help along the way?
Jaci Monroe: To achieve. To establish a foundation for my family. So I can help anyone when they need it. To give. To spread the word of the gospel.

Jaci’s story is still being written — and perhaps that’s what makes it especially interesting. The publications and photoshoots matter, but so does the woman behind them: an artist, a survivor, a creative, and someone determined to turn opportunity into something she can eventually use to give back.
And as Jaci puts it herself, she’s “A limited edition.” That might be the most accurate introduction of all.
