At just 12 years old, Filipino-American singer-songwriter, performer, host and youth correspondent Soleil River Nation represents that borderless future of music.
Raised in Miami, Soleil grew up surrounded by one of the world’s most layered cultural soundscapes. Salsa spilling into community festivals. Reggaeton pulsing through the radio. Bachata at family gatherings. Caribbean rhythms meeting international pop beneath the South Florida sun.
Latin music was never something she had to discover. It was already part of the city she called home.
Her Filipino identity, meanwhile, shaped the foundation beneath her artistry... family, resilience, creativity and an instinctive appreciation for community. These influences do not compete within her. They move together, creating an artist who is proudly Filipino-American and naturally connected to Miami’s Latin heartbeat.

Soleil’s breakthrough arrived with “Miami on My Tongue,” the winning entry in Elevated Tracks 305, a civic music initiative inviting artists to tell Miami’s story through original songs.
Supported by Elevate Cities, Elevate Miami, Young Musicians Unite, Guitars Over Guns and the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, the project placed local identity at the center of the creative process.
Soleil’s song captured Miami’s optimism, cultural diversity and unmistakable energy. More than a tribute to the city, it became a portrait of the community that shaped her... a place where cultures do not merely coexist. They create together.
That story is also Soleil’s story.
She belongs to a generation that sees culture not as a boundary, but as an opening. Rather than choosing between her Filipino heritage and the Latin influences surrounding her, she embraces both. Her music makes a compelling case for an idea Dia'ani knows well... authenticity begins when every part of your identity is allowed into the room.
